Preaching
We emphasize the importance of God’s Word and seek to establish everything we do
upon His instruction. For this reason, you’ll find Biblical expository preaching at the
heart of every service. Preaching is delving into scripture with an emphasis on, one,
understanding what the author intended to say to the original author, and, two, revealing
the heart of God so as to understand the application of those truths today in the lives of
believers. When you come prepare to be challenged, for, while we are sensitive to the
struggles people face in today’s difficult times, we don’t believe in softening the truth.
In fact, we believed the purity found only in unfiltered scriptural truth is the answer to
today’s challenges (1 Timothy 3:16-17).

Worship
God has given each of His children a priestly ministry (Revelation 1:6), meaning that,
because of the ministry of Christ to His church, we are privileged to come freely into
His presence. That God would bless us in this way is a picture of His overwhelmingly
abundant grace. With this in mind, we seek to come before our Lord with worship
that is as excellent as possible, both in music and in spirit. When attending Harvest,
expect to hear a melodic rock sound, namely praise singers supported by a band with
guitars, piano, and drums. We sing a blend of modern worship songs and new settings
of traditional hymns, all of which facilitate intentionally scriptural lyrics intended to
draw worshipers to holistically give an offering that is emotionally, physically, and
intellectually balanced.

Children’s Classes
At Harvest, we believe biblical understanding is vital to even children. We have many
gifted teachers who offer our children age appropriate guidance in understanding
scripture. Classes meet during our Sunday morning worship services and are available
for children, ages birth through 5th grace.

What to do when you arrive:

1. Check in at the Children’s Center and fill out a visitor card

2. Take two labels, one for your child and one to keep with you

3. Our auditorium is equipped with displays which will show your number if your child

has a need – if that happens, proceed directly to the Children’s Center

4. To check your child out at the end of the service, please provide your label to the

classroom teacher.

Attire
At Harvest, you will find some their Sunday best and others wearing jeans and the like.
While there is something to be said for bringing your best to God on every level, we
believe God looks at the heart above all else (1 Samuel 16:7). With this in mind, come
as you are, have a cup of coffee from our refreshment table, and enjoy the intentional
worship and authentic fellowship you will find at Harvest Bible Chapel.
