Prayer.  The word itself is not offensive.  During outreach events the request, “can I pray for you?” very rarely results in slammed doors, angry slander, or other typical responses to truths associated with Scripture.  Nearly everyone would admit that – at some point in their lives – they have prayed.  While the consensus is that prayer has been “banned” from public schools, prayer takes place every day in public schools – especially before tests and quizzes!
